The sixteen technical colleges in Wisconsin collectively serve nearly 450,000 Wisconsin residents a year. The colleges offer over 300 technical, occupational and transfer programs around the state. As state funding has decreased over the years, the brunt of the funding responsibility has landed on the laps of property tax payers and students. This shift has created tensions and concerns among state residents who are more aware than ever of the burden they have to fund education, without necessarily an understanding of the tremendous value, both social and economic, to the state. Advocacy efforts are more necessary today than ever. This blog provides information regarding Technical College System initiatives and activities to those with an interest in Wisconsin’s Technical Colleges.

I thought a potential article about the Importance of an IT degree in 2013 would be a solid article for your site.
