Retirement trends focus of program
November 2, 2011
From fdlreporter.com: “Retirement trends focus of program” — The director of the Pathways to Prosperity Project at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education will be the featured speaker on Thursday, Dec. 1, during discussion of the 2011 Fond du Lac Retirement and Departure Intentions Study.
William Symonds will share his vision for preparing young people and fostering opportunity throughout the nation.
The event, hosted by the Fond du Lac Area Association of Commerce, Moraine Park Technical College and Marian University, will take place at the Marian University Stayer Center from 5 to 8 p.m. Seating is limited and reservations are required. To register, visit www.fdlac.com or call (920) 921-9500.
The focal point of Symonds’ presentation will be blunt — as a nation we are failing to prepare many young adults for success.
That message and a call to action across all sectors are expected to be substantiated with the results found in Fond du Lac’s recent departure intentions study.
The study reveals disturbing trends for the future of work force development in Fond du Lac, according to an Association of Commerce news release.
