Academy introduces environmental career possibilities

From rhinelanderdailynews.com: “A sampling of college” — Saturday afternoon Stephanie Boismenue, the volunteer aquatic invasive species coordinator for the Squash Lake Association stood on a pontoon boat just off shore and addressed a dozen high school students from around the Northwoods.
“Does anyone know anything about Eurasian Water Milfoil?” she asked.
“It’s green,” one student responded.
That was the extent of the responses, and thus began the lesson on AIS, more specifically Eurasian Water Milfoil, as Boismenue showed the students areas of Squash Lake where the invasive species has been found in the past.
